ISO creates documents that provide requirements, specifications, guidelines or characteristics that can be used
consistently to ensure that materials, products, processes and services are fit for their purpose.
 
The IECQ is a worldwide approval and certification system covering the supply of electronic components and associated materials
and assemblies (including modules) and processes. It uses quality assessment specifications that are based on International
Standards prepared by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
 
TÜVs are German businesses that certify the safety and rule-compliance of products of all kinds. As independent consultants,
they examine factory plantsmotor vehicles, energy installations, amusement rides, devices & products (e.g. consumer goods)
which are subject to mandatory monitoring.
 
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the United States government, created by 
Congressional statute to regulate interstate communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable in all 50 states,
the District of Columbia and U.S. territories.
 

CE marking is a mandatory conformity marking for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). 
CE marking is also found on products sold outside the EEA that are manufactured in, or designed to be sold in, the EEA.
 

VCCI is to promote the voluntary control of radio disturbances emitted from information technology equipment (ITE) on the one hand,
and improvement of robustness of ITE against radio disturbances on the other hand, so that the interests of Japanese consumers are
protected with respect to anxiety-free use of ITE.
 

The IP CodeInternational Protection Marking, IEC standard 60529, sometimes interpreted as Ingress Protection Marking, classifies
and rates the degree of protection provided against intrusion (body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and
water by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures. It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
The equivalent European standard is EN 60529.
