No need to install the more expensive 24-port Metro Access Switch for a site with only up to 8 subscribers, MEN-5512 can benefit Service Providers to lower their CAPEX and gain high ROI (Return of Investment).

With two uplink SFP slots, MEN-5512 can be configured as Star or Ring Networks depending on Service Providers’ CAPEX budget and Content Offered.For triple-play applications, MEN-5512 Ring Networks can minimize downtime in case of fiber cut or link failure.

MEN-5512 supports multi-rate 100FX/GbE SFP uplink ports that allow Service Providers to use 100FX now for low bandwidth applications.When high bandwidth application such as triple-play requires to preventing network bottleneck, Service Providers can instantly upgrade from 100FX to GbE uplink by only changing SFP module without buying a new switch.The previous investment retains and networks upgrade can never be so easy.
