    When switch power recycle, which ports provide the PoE powers to PD?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Once power recycle, the SW will provide power base on power delay.

    Thus, the PD under port 4, 1, 2 will have power and port 3 has no power. Once port 4 link down/up, then port 3 will have power

    So it’s better to config high priority port with low value for power delay.

  • SFP details are not reflecting in port 9. (MEN-4210)

    This is a firmware related issue. Please contact our Technical support for latest firmware.

  • Switch restarts when ‘reset’ button is used. (MEN-4210)

    Reset button on the switch is designed to Restart the switch. This avoids unauthorized user to reset the switch by pressing the button willingly or accidentally and thereby, prevents any impact on network services.

  • Email alarm feature is not working with other email domains (Gmail server) . (MEN-4210)

    Security settings of public domain mail server such as gmail or yahoo might cause this issue. However, email alarm feature best works with private domains.

  • How to configure port isolation in MEN-4210?

    - Commands to configure port isolation

    MEN-4210(config)#interface fa1/0/1

    MEN-4210(config-if)#port-isolation ports 1,9-10,0

    1 → Interface Id

    9-10 → Uplink ports

    0 → CPU

     

    - Through Web GUI

    Under VLAN menu select port isolation, Downlink ports should be isolated.

    Select port id & Egress Port (uplink ports) and click on apply to configure port isolation.

    Port status ‘V’ indicates port packets can be sent to that port

    Port status ‘-’ indicates port packet cannot be sent to that port

     

     

  • How to configure management VLAN in MEN-4210?
    • Commands to configure management VLAN

              - MEN-4210(config)#interface eth0

              - MEN-4210(config-if)#management vlan

    • Configure management vlan through Web GUI

               Under “General setting”, you can change hostname, DHCP client enable/disable, configure Static ip address, subnet mask, default gateway and management VLAN

     

     

  • What are the commands to change management IP on MEN-4210?
    • Commands to change management IP

    - MEN-4210(config)#interface eth0

    - MEN-4210(config-if)#ip address A.B.C.D/M

    - MEN-4210(config-if)#ip address default-gateway A.B.C.D

     

    • By enable DHCP client

    - MEN-4210(config)#interface eth0

    - MEN-4210(config-if)#ip dhcp client enable

     

    • Change management IP through GUI
